Showers Saturday were in advance of the first of two cold front set to cross the Tar Heel State.

  • Two cold fronts will cross the state
  • Breezy conditions through Sunday
  • We're in for a cold start Monday
The second cold front crosses the region overnight delivering chilly air on northwest winds of 10-20 mph with gusts up to 25-30 mph. You can expect breezy condition through the first half of Sunday and despite ample sunshine highs only make it to the mid to upper 50s.

We're in for a cold start Monday morning and could even have some patchy frost, as lows will drop to the 30s. Monday afternoon will be sunny, but temperatures will stay below normal. Highs will only reach the mid to upper 50s Monday afternoon.

We warm up to near normal temperatures for the middle of the week, with lots of sunshine before another chance of rain and cooler temperatures comes for the end of the week and start of next weekend
