RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. -- The N.C. State Bureau of Investigation is investigating claims that a deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office allegedly sexually abused a 7-year-old child.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the SBI is evaluating the complaint to determine whether or not these allegations are valid.

The accused deputy is continuing to work with the Sheriff's Office through the investigation.
