Temperatures are on the rise as we head into the work week.

High pressure will continue to push warm air and humid air into the Carolinas. You can expect temperatures in the low90s inland and mid 80s along the coast.

Wednesday will bring a slightly better chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms, with a better chance for precipitation on Thursday. Daytime highs will lower just a bit by the end of the week due to more clouds and a better chance of showers but they will remain above what we normally expect this time of the year.

In the tropics, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico that has a low chance for development.
