East Malloy Road in DeWitt is expected to be closed for part of the day, after a 57-year-old man was killed in a car crash Thursday morning.

DeWitt police say four vehicles were involved in the crash. Two other people suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The name of the victim is not being released as police will first notify his family.

Police said a preliminary investigation showed the man was stopped in his car, a four-door sedan, while waiting to make a left-hand turn into a business. As he was stopped, his car was hit from behind by a pick-up truck, forcing the sedan into oncoming traffic. The sedan hit a SUV coming the other direction. The truck then continued on, crossing over to oncoming traffic, and hit a fourth vehicle.

The drivers of the SUV and the fourth vehicle suffered injuries.

No charges or tickets have been issued yet, bu the investigation is ongoing. Police said neither alcohol nor drugs played a factor.

East Molloy is currently closed between Thompson and Townline roads.
