Leaders in Watertown are urging residents not to worry following this weekend's nightclub shooting.

City officials are speaking out following the Saturday shooting at Rio Nightclub which injured five people.

The suspect, 31-year-old Julio Landron-Sanchez, is currently behind bars at Watertown City Jail.

The mayor and city council members say the case is under control as the police investigation continues.

"It's an isolated incident that we don't see in Watertown. It's not something that's common place in the city of Watertown. I think we can actually look at that and be thankful that we live in such a beautiful community where events like this aren't common,” said Cody Horbacz, Watertown councilman.

Rio Nightclub has officially closed following the shooting.
