UTICA, N.Y. -- One of the people running for Albany's top spot campaigned in the Mohawk Valley on Tuesday.

Republican Marc Molinaro held a town hall event at Delta Hotels by Marriott.

The candidate talked about several issues including the proposed downtown Utica hospital and government corruption.

Molinaro believes he's the underdog in the race.

"Some of the greatest fights have been won by the guy punching up or the lady struggling to point up and it's about time that the underdogs of New York stand up, be heard, and take their government back," Molinaro said.

Molinaro believes the decisions with the proposed downtown Utica hospital should be left to county and city leaders.
