BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. -- Corvette drivers hit the gas for the Central New York SPCA this weekend. Sunday was the 2nd annual "Vettes for Pets" car show at the Mohegan Manor in Baldwinsville.

The $25 registration fee from each Corvette went toward the animal shelter.

In addition to checking out the cars, people also enjoyed live music and raffled off prizes.

Organizers say all the money will help enrich the lives of the dogs at the shelter.

"This year whatever money we make will go toward the enrichment and training of our dogs. Probably more behavior modification," said Donna Newman, the CNY SPCA volunteer coordinator.

Organizers trying to drive forward instead of looking in the rearview. In March of 2017, the SPCA's former director Paul Morgan, was sentenced to prison for embezzling more than half a million dollars in donated money.

Last year, the car show pulled in $2,000.
