A man has died after being shot in Utica on Wednesday night.
Utica Police said at approximately 7:40 pm, they responded to the 1600 block of Steuben St. for a “shots fired” call.
Upon arrival, officers located 50-year-old Quintin J. Horner of Utica, who sustained injuries from gunfire.
Horner was treated at the scene and transported to St. Elizabeth hospital for further treatment.
Horner was rushed into surgery by hospital staff. During surgery, Horner passed away from his injuries.
An investigation into this incident is being handled by the Utica Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit with the assistance of the Utica Police Department Criminal Investigations Division. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Utica Police.
