Police are looking into an attack at a Syracuse park over the weekend where a woman was threatened with a knife.

Officers say the woman was walking in the Valley on Hopper Road toward the Rand Tract Nature Area around 7 a.m. Saturday morning when a man with a knife grabbed her from behind.

She struggled with the suspect and was able to run away.  The woman was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

Police say they searched the area with the help of K-9 units, but were unable to find the suspect.

He's described as a white man in his 50s, about 6 feet tall, with wrinkles on his face and discolored teeth. He was wearing a white or gray zippered, hooded sweatshirt, and a green mask.

Anyone with information should call Syracuse police at (315) 442-5222.
