Oneida County Sheriff's deputies released the name of the man killed in a one-car crash Thursday morning.

It happened just after 7 a.m. on Watson Hollow Road in the town of Floyd.

Deputies say the driver, 25-year-old Joseph Kelley Jr., drove into the oncoming lane. They say he then left the roadway, hit a tree and and came to a rest in a ditch.

Kelley was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff's office says Kelley was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
