ELMIRA, N.Y. -- An Elmira man is found guilty of attempted murder.

Kimani Meadows, 40, was found guilty of attempted murder and assault Friday, along with weapons charges.

Meadows got into an argument with Sean Hamilton at Hamilton's home on John Street on December 20th.

Meadows then pulled out a revolver and shot Hamilton in the stomach and head.

Hamilton was rushed to the hospital and remained in a coma for three days.

He wasn't released from the hospital for two months.

The jury reached their verdict after just 20 minutes of deliberations.

Meadows will be sentenced on September 18th.

Meanwhile, he's also facing an indictment for murder for a separate incident.

Prosecutors say Meadows shot and killed a Bronx woman, 33-year-old Robyn Roper, in the town of Elmira just six days before.

That case is still pending.
