SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It's gone by a number of names over the years. But come Tuesday, the doors at Hungry Chuck's on the Syracuse University hill will close -- at least for the time being.

The building that houses the popular student bar is set to be demolished and rebuilt as student apartments and retail space. But the owner says this won't be the end of the road. He plans to re-open by spring of next year, in a new location on the SU hill.

"We are absolutely coming back. We are not going anywhere," said manager Stephen Theobald. "And we'll be back with a whole new room, and bigger bathrooms! And a lot of other nice things that we haven't been able to accomplish here yet because we didn't know when they were going to tear the building down."

Hungry Chuck's will be hosting its blowout bash Tuesday night. Doors open at 7 p.m.
