ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Kids now have a new place to beat the heat during the hot Rochester summer. Mayor Lovely Warren opened a new spray park Tuesday morning and detailed other recreational programs happening this summer.
The new park is located at the Roxie Ann Sinkler R-Center on Grover Street off of Buffalo Road.
Some summer activities include camps, R-Center day programs, swim sites, special community events and organized sports.
Mayor Warren says the programs are meant to be educational as well as interactive.
