Veterans groups like the VFW raise a bulk of their money through charitable gaming.

Some of that money comes from raffles or Quick Draw games.

But the majority of it comes from what's known as "bell jar" machines.

They dispense paper pull-tabs and winning tickets can be worth several hundred dollars.

But vets say it's time to update these machines in order to appeal to a younger crowd and ensure these crucial donations continue.

There's a bill that would help facilitate this... and it's waiting for action by the governor.
