The federal farm bill, passed in 2014, is set to expire at the end of the year. So House Republicans have come up with a new, $100 trillion farm bill. The legislation imposes stricter work requirements on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamps, while also cutting funding. It also includes cuts to conservation programs.
