The fall semester is wrapping up on college campuses but some SUNY and CUNY students are worried about paying for and even registering for the spring semester. Equal Opportunity Program campus directors say the students were told back in August they qualified for the new Excelsior scholarship program. Then later in the semester, the Higher Education Scholarship Committee sent another letter saying they were not qualified, after the deadline to apply for loans had passed.
