ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It was not easy driving anywhere this morning as snow-covered roads caused travel delays all over Rochester.

This storm dumped 8 to 12 inches of thick, wet snow. Emergency services responded to numerous accidents and disabled vehicles.

"Unless you have a truck you are pretty much stuck. The snow is heavy. It's wet. The first time you slow down you are going to get stuck," said Marcus Elliot, Rochester resident.

"I have seen at least six cars stuck. I tried to stop and help each of them and make sure they have gas and that they called somebody. I don't know, it is rough around here," said Joseph Zolnierowski, Rochester resident.

Nearly every school district in the region was closed Friday.

A no unnecessary travel advisory was in place for Monroe County until 10 a.m.
