A woman has been arrested and charged with kidnapping after she and others abducted a farm worker.

Zoraida Rodriguez, 30, and other suspects "lured" the 28-year-old man from him home Sunday night around 10 p.m.

The victim was then allegedly pistol whipped, beaten, robbed of his cell phone and driven around for about half an hour. He was able to escape when the people who abducted him stopped in the town of Nunda.

The farm worker suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his face and head.

Rodriguez is facing charges of second-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.

"The arrest of Zoraida Rodriguez is just the beginning in resolving this case," said Wyoming County Sheriff Greg Rudolph. The investigation is ongoing and other arrests are pending.
