ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Police-worn body cameras may soon move from the streets to the halls of the Rochester City School District.

The Rochester Police Department says there are plans to equip school resource officers with body cams in the near future.

Training for the cameras is scheduled from February 20 to 24.

The police department and the school district are still determining when exactly the system will be launched.

On-duty officers who enter schools with body cameras will continue to operate with standard procedures.
