A special Saturday Night Matchup will feature the championship game in Class AA.

Top-seed Aquinas will take on two-seed McQuaid at SUNY College at Brockport.

The two met during the regular season, with the Irish picking up their 12th straight win over the Knights. But that matchup was just a possession away from a different ending.

"After the game we felt that we didn't really play great in the first half," said Aquinas head coach Derek Annechino. "We feel if we fix those things we can come out and give them a good game on Saturday. They're a top-notch football team and we're just looking forward to the opportunity to play for a sectional championship."

McQuaid will come in looking to avenge the 22-19 loss.

"For our kids, after coming off a loss to them earlier in the season, I know they wanted another shot at them," said McQuaid head coach Bobby Bates. "It's a storybook type game for us and we're excited for us."

Aquinas, on the other hand, hasn't lost in a month. The lil' Irish's only loss on the season came back on September 29 against Friendship Collegiate out of Washington D.C.

And while Aquinas will be looking to repeat as sectional champions, McQuaid comes in looking to earn their first title in 40 years.

Spectrum News will carry the game live with coverage starting at 7 p.m.
