Hilton defeated Brighton 34-14 at home to finish the regular season 6-1. After losing their opener to Fairport, the Cadets won six straight and were perfect at home during the regular season.

Things were not looking good for Hilton when their starting running back Nick Romano left the game during the first drive, but the Cadets prevailed, putting up the first score of the night. Quarterback Ryan Butts connected with basketball star Tahjae Hill who made a great play, tip toeing down the sideline for the score.

Brighton was able to answer with a keeper from quarterback Ryan Watson, but the Cadets came back strong. Butts found Jake Kelsey in the endzone to put Hilton back on top.

Butts appeared to be injured towards the end of the first half as Hilton carried a 14-7 lead into the locker room.

"Despite our two guys going down in the first half, we had to hold our heads. We knew this game meant a lot to us and we had to play for them," said Hill.

Butts was able to return to the game after halftime.

It was a slow start to the second half with the 14-7 score holding until just over two minutes left in the third quarter. Backup running back Sean Meyers scored on an outstanding run to make it 21-7.

"Second half we came out, Tahjae made some huge plays for us down the field, making great catches," said Hilton head coach Rich Lipani. "Sean Meyers, our back-up running back, came in and ran the ball fantastic."

Hilton continued to show off their depth at running back. Jack Loomis became the fourth Cadet to score off a one-yard touchdown run.

Watson showed poise and leadership, even with his team trailing by double-digits down the stretch. The senior kept his team in it adding another Baron touchdown through the air. This time Watson found Clayton Teeter who made a fantastic catch in the endzone.

Meyers went on to add another Cadet touchdown, following an outstanding block from Hill who was named Spectrum Sports Player of the Game.
