All 20 victims of the limousine crash in Schoharie died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to autopsy results released Friday by the New York State Police.

The crash on October 6, at the intersection of Routes 30 and 30-A in Schoharie, killed 17 passengers and the driver in the limousine, as well as two pedestrians. Autopsies conducted by Dr. Michael Sikirica at Albany Medical Center, the NYSP says, revealed the cause of all 20 deaths to be "multiple severe traumatic blunt force injuries."

State police say the investigation of the crash is ongoing. On Friday, Sen. Chuck Schumer said National Transportation Safety Board investigators examined the limo involved in the crash on Friday afternoon, after Schumer intervened with Schoharie County authorities.

The NTSB says the length of its investigation could be 12-24 months.
