Courtland Sutton's size has taken him to heights on the football field, but also a brief cameo on the SMU basketball team, netting three points and two rebounds in three games a few years ago.

But catching passes is where he's best suited, watching bigger, physical receivers like Julio Jones and Larry Fitzgerald to up his game.

"Even if it's something as small as being able to pin a cornerback in the right spot or knowing exactly how to box out a DB when the ball's in the air. So just small things like that. Being able to add those qualities that shorter and smaller receivers can't really do and trying to make sure I'm playing to my actual size and not being 6'4” and playing at six-foot,” said Sutton.

That size helped Sutton grab over 2,300 yards and 22 touchdowns his final two seasons at SMU. While he's produced, there's still room for improvement, working with Anquan Boldin during the pre-draft process to better get in-and-out of breaks.

"Whenever you have an NFL coach tell you the same thing you were going to say, I understand that I may be on the same page in understanding what my game needs, if they see the same thing that I'm seeing. It's something that I've seen, they've obviously seen, but I'm not to my peak yet. I'm not even close to my peak yet and that's just something I'm going to have to keep working on so I can become better as an all-around wide receiver,” said Sutton.

While the Bills may choose to go more speed than size to bolster the receiving core, they could likely grab Sutton in the second round.

Next up in our Prospect Profile series will be Penn State tight end Mike Gesicki.
