Members of the Rochester City Schools' Board of Education responded to the findings and recommendations issued by Dr. Jaime Aquino just one day after the report was issued.

The four board members present offered their differences of opinion on several points made in the report; the success of the Pre-Kindgergarten program as well as the long term effects of instability at the superintendent position.

The board will now work with a team to decide on their response. They will then confer with the superintendent and her team to deliver their final report.

"We really do have some work that we have to do together to make sure that the message that we're giving out is one that incorporates everything that we want it to incorporate," said School Board Commissioner Natalie Sheppard. "I do hope that we can get to that point, but I do think that there is going to be some tension, because right now, we do not see eye to eye on that."

The board's final plan is due in February.
