ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Three days after a man was hit and killed on Route 104, police are still looking for the driver responsible.

New York State Police say Nicholas O'Rourke, 61, was walking along the north shoulder of Route 104 between Hudson and Seneca avenues around 11:30 p.m. Friday night.

“If you’re that individual you need to contact us. I can’t imagine the kind of guilt that you’re going through. You have to realize that this was a human being that you hit and their life is gone. You can only imagine if it was you,” said Troop E spokesman Mark O'Donnell.

Authorities are currently looking at any vehicles that have been recently sold in Western New York, in particular a white Nissan with a model year between 2006 and 2009.

State police say the car has front and passenger side damage and a missing rearview mirror.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 585-279-8891.
