Two people are now facing charges after a toddler handed state troopers a bag of drugs during a traffic stop.

Megan Karl, 33, and 26-year-old Scott Hill of Clarksville were pulled over Thursday on Route 32 in New Scotland.

Troopers say there were several marijuana joints in the ashtray.

While searching the car, troopers also realized a 3-year-old girl in the back seat wasn't secured properly.

They say the girl reached under a seat and handed them a pouch of marijuana.

Karl and Hill have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

The 3-year-old girl was turned over to relatives, and Child Protective Services was notified.
