BATAVIA, N.Y. — The Genesee County Fair is one of New York State's longest and oldest consecutive county fairs.
It's back for it's 179th year at the Fairgrounds on East Main Street Road in Batavia.
More than 800 animals are in attendence with different 4-H animal shows running every day.
One of the new events is Battle of the Bands.
The fair runs everyday through Saturday July, 21 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.
