Residents at a local apartment complex tell Spectrum News they are being wrongfully evicted.

“June was supposed to be a free month, now they`re giving me an eviction notice,” said Resolute Manor tenant, Kevin Frye.

Frye moved into the apartment complex in April and says he was scammed. According to Frye, he signed his lease under Rochester Asset Management, which is owned by Peter Hungerford.

“They`re telling me to take them to court,” said Frye.

Peter Hungerford is being sued by the City of Rochester for close to 70 code violations at another property.

Hungerford has been called an absentee landlord by the City of Rochester. He owned Resolute Manor under Rochester Asset Management. He recently sold the property to Resolute Development Group.

“He should be ashamed of himself. I'm pretty sure he`s not living the way that we are living,” said Resolute Manor tenant, Hector Del Valle.

Del Valle says he had been living without heat. He also has a refrigerator that leaks, mold, and a hole in his wall.

“If they want their money, I want this fixed,” said Del Valle.

Hector Del Valle has received eviction notices from Hungerford`s management company and the Resolute Management. His latest eviction notice was dated June 14, 2018.

“Nobody should live in these conditions,” he said.

Resolute Manor LLC has declined to comment. Calls to Peter Hungerford and the City of Rochester have not been returned.
