Multiple law enforcement agencies partnered with the Rochester City School District to host a night of camping at Frontier Field.

The students who were selected are considered leaders in their schools with a passion for improving the community.

The goal is to help build relationships between law enforcement and the community.

"A lot of times when police officers come into a house or a location, it can be a very negative experience for them. This is a chance for them to ask us questions and we can give them real answers, be positive, so hopefully in the future that when they look at police officer in uniform, it's a good experience," said Aaron Ward, United States Marshals Deputy

"We want to take our stories that some of the police officers have actually grown up in communities similar to what these kids have come up in, we want to build resilience, we want to build dreams, we wanna build sustainability for a lot of the children who will one day take over where we leave off, and that's the message," said Moses Robinson of the Rochester Police Department.

This is the fourth year that the city and RCSD hosted the event.
