ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A pit bull terrier who was abandoned inside a crate for days without food now has a permanent home with the help of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Rocky was found by deputy Caroline McClellan in November, during a call in the town of Sweden.

He was found sitting in his dried feces and urine, and was just 36 pounds.

Deputies contacted Animal Control Officers and Rocky was removed from the home.

He was taken to Lollypop Farm for Adoption, but wasn't there for long.

Deputy McClellan contacted one of her colleagues who loves helping dogs in need and Kathy Prince adopted Rocky in January.

She says Rocky is now a year and half old, weighs 65 pounds, and is a healthy and happy Pit Bull that eats anything he can get his paws on.
