CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — It's Tax Grievance Day and billionaire businessman and philanthropist Tom Golisano will argue his case, challenging the tax assessment on his Canandaigua Lake property.

Golisano will go before the town of South Bristol Board of Assessment Tuesday afternoon.

The Paychex founder has withheld $145,000 in taxes after he says he received no assistance in resolving a significant goose problem on his property.

Golisano says the Bristol case and prior success challenging other property assessments prompted him to launch "Tax My Property Fairly" — an educational resource for taxpayers.
