It might not feel like it just yet, but it’s springtime, which means it’s time to go fishing.

Trout fishing season starts on April 1, opening the floodgates for anglers to try their luck at reeling in trout, salmon and striped bass.

There are regulations on the number of fish that can be caught and kept, as well as a minimum length for catch.

All fishermen and women over the age of 16 need either a $5 day pass or a $25 annual pass to try their luck.
