As Jim Kelly readies for scheduled surgery in New York City to treat his oral cancer, teammates and fans alike are again thinking and praying for the Buffalo Bills' all-time quarterback great.

Frank Reich, now the head coach of the Colts, spoke about Kelly's cancer battle at the NFL Owners Meeting in Orlando, Florida.

Reich, who backed up Kelly throughout the Bills' Super Bowl runs in the 90s, says those talks with Kelly have been tough, but inspiring.

"Jim's amazing. I mean, the guy is, all the Kelly Tough stuff is as real and authentic as it gets," Reich said. "When I talked to him a couple days ago, what he's about to face is going to be the toughest test yet, but man he was incredibly optimistic again. Just determined. I mean, the guy's just unbelievable."

Reich says while he's visited Kelly in the past following surgery, Jim's asked to just be with family this time around.
