A Boston man will have to pay more than $6 million dollars in restitution to Xerox after being convicted of wire fraud in federal court.

Prosecutors say Jonathan Ofstein worked for a company in Massachusetts that had an all-inclusive lease contract with Xerox for equipment and office supplies.

Between 2012 and 2016, investigators say Ofstein ordered excess supplies without telling his employer, and then sold them to an individual in Miami.

The supplies had a retail value of more than $6 million dollars.

Ofstein was also sentenced to five years of probation.
