ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Rochester police are investigating two shootings that happened within a mile of each other Friday night around the same time.
Police were first called to the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Iceland Park around 11:30 p.m. where they found a city woman shot at least once in the lower body.
The 23-year-old was taken by ambulance to Strong Hospital with what police say appears to be non-life threatening injuries.
Around the same time, police found a second person shot on Lundsford Lane, near Ford Street.
That 24-year-old man was also taken to Strong with what police say appears to be non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say it appears he was actually shot on Cady Street.
They have not said if the two shootings are related.
