ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Monroe County Airport Firefighters Association has come to an agreement with the county on a new collective bargaining agreement.

The union represents about two dozen firefighters serving the Greater Rochester International Airport.

The new contract runs through December 31 of 2022.

The agreement sets wages for all members and guarantees a raise every year going forward with an average increase of 1.4 percent annually over the next five years.

Firefighters will also receive health care coverage from Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield.

The agreement still needs to be approved by the Monroe County Legislature.
