The Utica and Rome Rescue Missions are getting ready for their Thanksgiving dinners -- and members tell Spectrum News that neither Rescue Mission needs turkeys anymore. Instead, they could use some other items.

Rescue Mission of Utica needs stuffing, rolls, potatoes, and non-perishable canned vegetables. Their Thanksgiving events begin at 11a.m. with a worship service, followed by a Thanksgiving Banquet.

Rome Rescue Mission members are asking for orange juice, sliced white bread, bagels, fruit, chips, dips, and cereal. They're having a breakfast at 9:30 a.m., and then a dinner at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
