Travelers may have noticed a lot of vehicles, from police cars to tow trucks, with their lights on Saturday.

They participated in the 34th annual "Donald H. Barrett Lights On Caravan" to support "Lights on for Life Day."

Vehicles in the caravan travel from Syracuse to Skaneateles with their lights on to honor and remember victims of impaired driving.

The event is put on by the Traffic Safety Advisory Board to remind everyone to be safe and responsible during the holidays.

"There will be a wrecked car with crashed vehicles on it, there's gonna be an ambulance there," said Robert Keller Jr., Donald H. Barrett Lights On Caravan Chairperson. "It's basically, 'you can make a choice, you could ride in a police car, you could ride in an ambulance, or you could ride in a hearse,' and all those will be in the caravan and at this event."

The event is named after Donald H. Barrett who founded "Lights On Caravan."
