Fire crews from three counties helped contain a fire at L-T Disposal on West River Road on Saturday.

The blaze was first noticed around 7:30. Firefighters say it appears garbage inside one of the buildings had been smoldering all night, but no one could see the smoke. When crews got to the scene, they found a good amount of smoke coming from one of the buildings on the property.

Several tankers from nearby towns were called to bring in additional water.

"I mean, the bulk of the fire is knocked down," said Kevin Keenan of the Caledonia Fire Department. "It's just going to take a really long time to get the rest of the fire out due to the bulk of the fire [and] the material we're working with."

It does not appear that anyone was hurt.
