HENRIETTA, N.Y. -- A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries after Monroe County sheriff's deputies say he passed a car on a double solid yellow line before crashing Tuesday night.

Officials from the sheriff's office say 53-year-old Ronald Defrank was heading south on Erie Station Road around 9 p.m. when he lost control and was thrown from the bike.

A witness told deputies Defrank was speeding moments before the crash.

Defrank was taken to Strong Hospital with what deputies said were life threatening injuries.
