Amid opposition from at home and abroad, Congressman Tom Reed stands by President Donald Trump's decision to pull the United States from the Paris Accord that aimed to reduce the impact of climate change globally.

The deal, Reed said, would mean lower wages and fewer opportunities for workers and put unrealistic burdens on farmers and businesses.

"So we have to do this in a better way. So my hope is, with this withdrawal, we come up with a better solution to the problem and do it in a way that respects the American worker and respects our interests as a nation," he said.

Reed says he will hold Trump accountable to a better deal.
