Despite the record rain and high lake levels, marina construction out on Braddock Bay continues in Greece.

Westpoint Marina has something a lot of other marinas on and around Lake Ontario don't have -- boats in the water.

The Daniele Family of Companies is investing $1.3 million to renovate the former Braddock Bay Marina. Crews are putting in 300 slips with new electric and plumbing, plus a new clubhouse, store and restrooms.

They aren't too worried about high lake levels here because they installed floating docks.

"So, that was a good call. We were deciding whether or not to do fixed docks or floating docks and obviously with floating docks the lake level doesn't negatively affect the docks themselves," said Anthony Daniele.

Another 100 docks are going in the next month.

The Danieles say the recent $10 million investment at Braddock Bay by the Army Corps of Engineers should increase the amount of recreational boating.
