HENRIETTA, N.Y. -- Alstom Transportation, a leading supplier in power generation, transmission and rail transportation, announced Wednesday it will add 75 new jobs at its Henrietta location.

Alstom said the new jobs are thanks to large federal investments in the transportation infrastructure. But they said more needs to be done. That's why Alstom officials along with Congresswoman, Louise Slaughter are calling on Congress to pass a transportation bill.

"We rely on the U.S. elected officials to support us and to make sure that our customers will get long term funding so we can continue our long term commitment," said Alstom Senior Vice President Jerome Wallut.

Alstom's Rochester facility, located on John Street in Henrietta, employs about 500 people and is a global leader for providing high-tech signaling, and communications systems to rail transportation customers across the country.
