Popular goalie Martin Biron was inducted into the Rochester Americans Hall of Fame on Friday prior to the Amerks game against Wilkes Barre/Scranton.

Biron, now a broadcaster for the Buffalo Sabres, played parts of four seasons in Rochester, his best season coming in 1998-99 where he won 36 games with a 2.07 goals against average.

Coming to Rochester as a 20-year old, Biron remarked on how much the area means to him from broadcaster and fellow Amerks Hall of Famer Don Stevens helping his parents to learn English through the radio broadcast to staying with his future in-laws in Rochester during the off-season.

Biron is the 62nd inductee to the Amerks Hall of Fame.
