The Red Jackets topping McQuaid 74-66 to open the year, Chris Gibson leading the way with 24 points.

Leadership took East 63-54 behind 16 points from Davon Brown.

NE Douglass rallied from a ten-point halftime deficit, outscoring Vertus 23-11 in the third quarter to win 80-69 in the opening round of the Al Masino Tournament at Eastridge. The Panthers face the host Lancers in the final.

Defending Class AA champion Fairport rallied to beat Victor, 61-43 behind 22 points from Andrew Bartlett.
