ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The 42nd annual Park Avenue Summer Arts Festival runs just one weekend, but half a million people are expected to descend on the small but upscale city neighborhood the weekend of August 4 - 5.

They arrive not only for art, but music as well, with three entertainment stages featuring musicians, dancers and street performers. Additionally, many of the restaurants and bars along Park Ave. offer live free music.

Organizers of the fest have also gone the distance as far as where people can and cannot park: 1,200 signs are being posted on the sidestreets along Park Avenue to let motorists know which side of the street to park on and when they'll to be able to do it.

Finding a parking space in this neighborhood is not a guarantee on any given day, and nearly impossible this weekend, so shuttles will run continuously.

The Spectrum News booth is posted at the northeast corner of Park and Girton Place – a prime spot between South Goodman and Oxford streets.
