ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It's the second annual Rochester Burger Week, and some of the city's best restaurants are serving up both traditional and unique ground rounds to celebrate.

From July 20 through July 28th, 25 area eateries, from the Finger Lakes to Brockport, are serving up beef burgers, bison burgers, black bean burgers and more.

The festival kicked off with a free event at the Public Market Saturday and culminates at Roc The Taste, a new free food festival at Parcel 5 that blends the best of what Rochester has to offer for foodies.

Aside from consuming top-notch burgers, there's also opportunities to win prizes: Simply visit any of the participating restaurants, order any burger from the menu (including specialty burgers offered only this week), take a photo and post to Instragram with the hashtag #ROCBurgerWeek, then tag the @RocBurgerWeek account to enter. When you share your photo, you'll be entered to win a prize for that day as well as being entered to win the grand prize.

Participating restaurants include, 585 Rockin' Burger Bar, The Angry Goat Pub, Bar Louie (Jefferson Road location), Chark Steak and Lounge, Drifters, The Gate House, Grappa, Hettie's Delites, Johnny's Pub & Grill, Jines Restaurant, Le Petit Poutine, Lovin' Cup, Marshall Street Bar & Grill, Merchants Wood Fired Pizza & Bistro, NOX, Morton's Steakhouse, O'Callaghan's Pub, the Pint & Goblet Tavern at CB Craft Brewers, ROC Burger on Main, Steadfast, The Street Craft Kitchen Bar, Taste the Roc, Tap & Mallet, Toasted Bear Tavern, Tavern at Gibbs and Veneto Wood Fired Pizza and Pasta.

A portion of the proceeds from each burger sold during Rochester Burger Week will be donated to Foodlink.

A celebration of local eateries that also supports a good cause — bon appétit!
