ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Rochester homicide investigators say a Central Park man bound and gagged his girlfriend and then left her for dead.
Her body was found nearly two weeks later.
Terry Williams, 50, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 49-year-old Cheryl Robinson.
According to court paperwork, Williams shoved a towel in Robinson's mouth and then tied her hands behind her back and bound her ankles.
Police say the killing occurred sometime between July 14-17 on Central Park. Robinson's body wasn't discovered until July 28. The medical examiner ruled she died of asphyxiation.
Williams was arraigned Wednesday morning in Rochester City Court. He pleaded not guilty and is due back in court Friday morning.
