SODUS, N.Y. -- A man is facing murder charges in the death of a woman in Sodus last year.

Alvin Ray Pinkard Sr., 61, is charged with second degree murder.

He's accused of killing Josephine Chiaverini at her home in Sodus last October.

Last year after the death he was named as a person of interest.  The two had been in a relationship.

Police found Chiaverini dead on the back porch with trauma to her body.

State Police arrested Pinkard on a warrant Tuesday.

He's being held in the Wayne County Jail on no bail. He's scheduled back in court later this week.
