GREECE, N.Y. — Greece police believe speed played a role in a fatal weekend crash.

Police say 23-year-old Brody Magro lost control of his car on Straub Road around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

He was thrown from the car and died at the scene.

Sunday night, friends held a vigil in Magro's memory. They used candles to spell out "We love you Brody" near the Athena High School soccer field where Brody played several years ago.

Messages were also written on balloons and released into the sky.
